October 14, 2024 – Birmingham, AL – The Greystone Foundation was honored to present a check for $10,000 to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society as one of our 2024 Charity Partners!
Presenting the check to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society were Greystone Foundation Board Members Rae Bolle, VP & Golf Co-Chair, and Dale Gorham, IT Director.
On hand to accept the check on behalf of the Humane Society were Chief Executive Officer, Allison Black Cornelius and several other members of the staff who also provided a first-hand tour of their fantastic facility.
“Your donation is so greatly appreciated and will go directly to purchasing much needed items that will immediately help our shelter animals,” added Allison.
“We couldn’t be more grateful! Partners like the Greystone Foundation really make a difference for our animals in need.”
As was expected as a result of the tour, one of the cutest residents of the shelter, a beautiful tabby kitten named Saturn, was adopted by Rae. Saturn is now a proud member of the “Tabby Trio” at the Bolle home!
Proceeds for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society donation came from several events including our annual “Groove on The Green” concert and our “Greystone Foundation Charity Golf Tournament” held each year at Greystone Golf & Country Club.
During this year’s Charity Golf Tournament, the Birmingham Humane staff was kind enough to bring some of their friendly shelter residents out to the Legacy Course for a field trip!!! They were a HUGE HIT during the event and we are sure more than one golfer wanted to take home a new pet!
